Reviews Of Currie Electric BicyclesCurrie electric bicycles consist of the IZIP and EZIP range, but do not be fooled, they are two different types of bike. The IZIP range is generally better quality than the EZIP range. If you buy a Currie electric bicycle, it will arrive dismantled in a box but is very easy to put together. It should take no longer than 30 - 60 minutes. When you have put the Currie bike together, you must charge the battery. The lights will inform you when the battery is fully charged.
Currie electric bicycles use three different batteries. These are SLA (Sealed Lead Acid), NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride), and the Li-Ion (Lithium Ion) battery.
Currie Electric Bicycles Charging For SLA batteries, charge for 4 - 6 hours, NiMH for around the same 4 - 6 hours, and Li-ion for a bit longer at 6 - 8 hours. Find our battery guide here. It provides you with all you need to know about electric bicycle batteries. It is often best to charge your bicycle overnight to be used in the morning. The Currie charging system is more than safe so don't worry if the charger heats up (this is normal).
