The eZee Liv Electric Bike Review

The eZee Liv electric bike is solid and reliable, with a good quality build.

One of the big pros of the Liv over some of the other eZee models is that the brakes work well and don't judder, even though it can reach the usual speeds of an eZee bike at 15 to 16 mph.

Everything is well put together and offers just what you would expect of an (aprox) $1500 / £925 electric bicycle.

The eZee Liv electric bike has a 200W (Australia, NZ, Singapore ), 250w (EU) , 350w (USA) Brushless DC hub motor with planetary gears, a 370 Watt hour Li+ manganese battery that takes around 4 and a half to 5 hours to charge. However, this long charging time can be easily overcome by charging overnight.

The (Shimano Nexus Inter 3 with roller brakes) 3 speed hub gear works well with the Liv, the aluminum alloy frame is light and solid, there are Tektro V-Brakes, and there is a LED light that is connected to the battery (the light is not great though).

The first problem that was found with the Liv bicycle was that it wasn't so great at climbing bigger hills itself, however, it was quickly found that if you put just a little bit of pedalling effort in to help, the eZee Liv performs much better and climbs hills very easily, without much effort at all.

The next problem was when the eZee Liv electric bike was taken offroad. The ride is very bumpy and a bit scary when taken off the streets as there is little shock absorption from the front suspension. However, if you don't plan to take the Liv onto tough terrain it's simply not a problem.

eZee Liv Conclusion

A good, solid, reliable electric bicycle. The Liv is good for travelling on the road, but rather scary when taken onto challenging offroad tracks.

The eZee Liv electric bicycle has been a very popular bike as the price was well worth what you were paying for.

However, prices have started to increase a fair bit and really, the final decision comes down to whether you can afford the $1500 / £925 for a reliable electric bicycle.
