EZIP Trailz Electric Bicycle

The EZIP Trailz electric bicycle is the first in the EZIP range and is priced at $499/£334.

The Trailz is a heavy bike at 31kg, but with the cheap price it is more than understandable.

What Battery And Motor Is Used?

Adding a substantial amount of weight is the SLA battery that comes at 24V/10Ah pack, or 12V/10Ah. You can remove the battery if you would prefer to cycle normally.

If you are continually cycling, the battery will assist you for 15 to 20 miles depending on weight, terrain, and how much power you use.

There is space for one further SLA battery that you can connect to the bike to give you double range, but bear in mind this will increase the already heavy weight further (31 kg).

With this heavy weight you would think the Trailz electric bike would be a terrible hill climber, but it is quite the opposite. With seven gears and a powerful 450W DC motor, (American version) it is a suprisingly good hill climber.

In Australia a 200W DC motor is used due to law.

EZIP Trailz Overview

The range and weight is not great, but the bicycle is suprisingly powerful and a good hill climber.

Simply, the Trailz is a basic electric bicycle. If you want to seriously get into travelling with your electric bicycle, it is best advised to look at better models.

But for a basic travellers commute or for cycling in the park, The Trailz could be a good option.

It is certainly one of the best cheaper models on offer.
