New Shop In Fort Collins, RunAbout Electric Tricycle

The RunAbout Electric Tricycle shop has recently relocated from Memphis, Tenn, to 517 A N. Link Lane, Fort Collins, and has been up and running since 2005.

Although the electric bicycle is a relatively new form of transport, there is a newer way of traveling that has only recently been introduced to the Western market, and RunAbout Cycles is leading the crusade.

Above is one of their hand built electric powered tricycles.

The owner of the company, Josh Kerson, has designed a number of the recumbent bikes. Like many other in the business, he believes these newer forms of transport can influence people to get out of their cars.

This new form of transport is a great idea for anyone who is interested in a tricycle of sorts and want that extra power to get them were they're going in half the time.

The RunAbout tricycles range can reach speeds of up to 20mph and use lithium-ion batteries to help power you. They can achieve up to 40 miles on a charge which has to be said, is rather impressive. You can charge the bicycles from a standard electric outlet with the supplied adaptor. A full charge takes around four hours.

The prices of the tricycles range from $3,000 to $6,000.
