Schwinn electric bicycles are the perfect bikes if you are travelling long commutes, but don't want the sweat and tears, or just the general exhaustion by the time you get to wherever you are travelling.

Schwinn have been building bicycles for over 100 years and are renowned for their quality bikes. However, recently Schwinn have realised the huge potential of electric bicycles and have started to seriously invest in them.

Schwinn is a classic example of a quality bicycle combined with 21'st century technology. Schwinn have not always found the transition of bicycle to electric bicycle quite so easy. They have encountered several problems with the electrics and their reliability.

Had this reliability problem remained, Schwinn electric bicycles would not have made it on this list, however, the new Tailwind from Schwinn offers a 2 year guarantee. This highlights their confidence that any electric problems are now fixed (at least with the Tailwind).

Schwinn Continental Electric Bicycle

If the price tag on the iconic Tailwind is too great for you, the Schwinn Continental is over $1000/£682 cheaper.

Although the Continental dosen't offer the guarantee that the Tailwind offers, or the Toshiba SCiB battery, it is still a quality electric bicycle.

It's just that the Tailwind is so ahead of it's time.

Schwinn World GSE Electric Bicycle

If you are interested in buying a Schwinn bike but again the price of the previous model, the Continental, is just a bit too pricy, the World GSE is cheaper but still offers that quality you may be after.

Priced at $1880/£1280, the World GSE is a whole $200/£136 cheaper, but is still in the same quality category as the Continental.
